NJEA Winter Leadership Conference
The NJEA Winter Leadership Conferences are dedicated to training association advocates. For this reason, there will be no professional development credit given for attendance in any workshop.
Workshop offerings and descriptions
The costs for attending WLC is as follows:
- Commuter $155 per person
- Double Occupancy $210 per person
- Single Occupancy $285 per person
As in the past, the same conference is being presented at three different locations on three different dates.
For WLC South and WLC North, registration will be based on geographical regions and members will only be able to complete the registration process if they register for the correct conference. Registrations from outside the region will not be accepted online. If there are extenuating circumstances, members can email wlc@njea.org and request to be placed on a waiting list. All counties can register for WLC Central as it has historically been able to accommodate all members in the central zone as well as members from other counties. The counties are as follows:
WLC South
Jan. 31-Feb. 1, 2025 (Registration Deadline: Dec. 6)
Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, & Salem
WLC North
Feb. 21-22, 2025 (Registration Deadline: Jan. 10)
Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union, & Warren
WLC Central
March 14-15, 2025 (Registration Deadline: Feb. 7)
Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, & Ocean
It is recommended that registrations be completed as soon as possible and not wait until the deadlines. The WLCs are very popular and are often sold out. Registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis until the conference reaches capacity. All registrations are subject to hotel and workshop space availability and are not guaranteed until payment has been received and processed by the conference registrar. All pending registrations will be confirmed in the order they are received based on the payment envelope postmark for checks or the online payment receipt with a credit card.
It is our hope that these conferences will provide you with opportunities to rejuvenate and renew yourselves—whether you are new or veteran association leaders. We have 14 workshops scheduled that should prove to be both interesting and informative. New workshops are being offered in addition to popular advocacy topics. These workshops offer an opportunity to sharpen your skills and to recruit potential leaders.
