This has been a challenging year (or two) for many of us, but as the end of the school year approaches it’s a great time to celebrate our achievements.
This year, New Jersey’s public schools were named the BEST in the nation by two national publications: Education Week and U.S. News and World Report.
In addition, our ESP of the Year, Kimberly Scott-Hayden, an inventory control clerk in East Orange Public Schools, was named the NEA Education Support Professional of the Year. New Jersey has not had a national ESP winner for more than 20 years.
We want to congratulate Kimberly and share her amazing story.
We also want to acknowledge the great work that NJEA members are doing across the state every day to make public education great for every child.
We have created a short video in English and Spanish to celebrate and share these achievements.
Let’s keep it going!
