We are saddened and outraged by yet another mass shooting, this time in Highland Park, IL. The victims deserve more than our thoughts and our prayers; they deserve action to make our community safer.
We are relieved to know that the NJEA members attending the NEA Representative Assembly in Chicago, just a few miles from the shooting, are safe. They will continue to carry out the work of our union, including fighting for safer, stronger communities for our students and their families.
