Bergen County educators Catherine Slutzky and Robyn Ivey, from the Northern Valley Regional High School District, were awarded a $3,562 grant to carry out a project that will focus on promoting healthy living and vocational training for approximately 35 students with autism spectrum disorders between the ages of 16-21. Students will learn essential gardening skills while the produce that is grown will be made available for purchase to staff, families, and the community, as well as used in meal preparation at the school.
