Participants will be introduced to the neuroscience of how trauma impacts the brain, the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study and how to build a Self-Healing Community. This workshop encourages a shift in the way we think about our students’ behavior and overall mental and physical health. This shift is critical to informing not only our classroom instruction but our understanding how adverse childhood experiences impact the whole community.
