Ocean County educators Bridgit Lapierre Valgenti and Lindsey O’Brien, from the Jackson Township School District, were awarded a $1,375 continuation grant to carry out a project that will continue developing resources for middle school students to learn about tools and resources to help them cope with a variety of mental health issues and topics. The Healing Library Kits will help students deal with an issue or better understand someone else struggling with that issue. In addition, the kits will be used by Peer Leaders in health classroom lessons to spread awareness and initiate discussions.
