Morris County educators Amanda Miranda, Stacy Davies, Susan Ort and Kellianne Zuzuro, from the Washington Township School District, were awarded a $7,650 grant to carry out a project to ignite a love of writing and storytelling. Approximately 100 students in grades PreK-5 will become published nonfiction authors, with their books living permanently in the school library. Students will be taught to research and write a nonfiction book that they will then learn how to preserve through the bookbinding process. After publication, students will participate in an Author’s Circle to share their work and answer questions.
