To enhance services to schools and their personnel, the National Council of Alcoholism and Drug Dependency (NCADD) of Middlesex County now provides web-based faculty inservice training to meet four of the New Jersey Department of Education mandates for annual teacher training. The courses are based on traditional training NCADD has been providing to schools for decades.
These new courses are comprehensive, easy to use, and provide guaranteed learning through “test your knowledge” (TYK) questions interspersed throughout the courses and final “exams” of 20 randomly chosen TYK questions. Participants must answer the questions, but their scores are provided for feedback only and do not affect whether participants receive their certificates of completion. The courses can be taken anytime, and anywhere at the teacher’s convenience rather than the schools. Courses range from 60 to 120 minutes.
