NJEA, NY Jets announce Educators of the Game

NY-Jets-LogoNJEA and the New York Jets have partnered to honor outstanding New Jersey educators and Educational Support Professionals. After reviewing the countless nominations from colleagues, family members, students, and community members, the following outstanding educators were selected to receive four Club-level tickets to a Jets home game and will be recognized during the NY Jets game day radio broadcast on ESPN Radio 98.7 FM.

  • Pedro Azcona, robotics teacher, STEM Academy, East Orange;
  • Gene Behme, third-grade teacher, Northvail Elementary School, Parsippany-Troy Hills;
  • Matthew Blazure, sixth-grade teacher, Alexandria Middle School, Alexandria Township;
  • Lindsay Brinkerhoff, teacher, Randolph High School, Randolph Township;
  • Kathy Bruno-Davis, learning disabilities teacher consultant, John F. Kennedy High School, Paterson;
  • Linda Connolly, special class aide, Macopin Middle School, West Milford Township;
  • Lynn Degen, Social Studies teacher, Warren Middle School, Warren Township;
  • Megan Jonigkeit, fourth-grade teacher, MacFarland Intermediate School, Bordentown;
  • Kathleen Piller, special education teacher, Hillside Elementary School, Montclair;
  • George Schmidt, fourth-grade teacher, John Forrest Elementary School, Fair Lawn.
