Activate your SOUL

NJEA and the Philadelphia Soul arena football team have partnered to help children stay physically active and choose healthy foods. Through “Activate Your SOUL,” the Philadelphia Soul offers a 30-minute assembly for grades K-5 at area schools throughout the school year.

The assemblies will be hosted by the team’s mascot, Soulman, and a member of the Soul’s front-office staff.

After the assembly children will be invited to participate in Activate Your SOUL. Each student will receive a fitness log to track physical activity and healthy food choices for two weeks. Once the log is completed and signed by a teacher or parent/ guardian, the school’s designated contact person returns the logs to the Philadelphia Soul at:

Philadelphia Soul
Attn: Danielle Riley
1635 Market St.
17th Floor
Philadelphia, PA 19103

Children who complete the program will earn a complimentary ticket to one of two selected dates for a Philadelphia Soul game, a certificate of completion, and will be honored during the game they choose to attend.

Philadelphia SoulTeachers may also nominate one student as the program MVP who went above and beyond during the program based on their own criteria. The MVPs will be honored on the field during their selected game.

The school with the highest participation, based number of logs returned, will earn the first annual Activate Your SOUL trophy presented at their school as well as an appearance by members of the Philadelphia Soul team for an end of the year event
