The Association of Math Teachers of New Jersey (AMTNJ) Winter Conference, "Instructional Strategies: Implementing the Common Core," will be held on Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Crowne Plaza, Monroe.
This conference will offer five one-hour sessions featuring strategies and activities that can be implemented in classrooms the very next day. There are several offerings in each strand (gr. K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 7-12), and three workshops for administrators. Readymade lessons and or hand-outs will be included in each session. Workshop topics address differentiation, inquiry-based instruction, and effective use of technology.
