The Create Real Impact Contest began in 2009 as an incentive to teenagers to understand and share the potential risks of distracted driving, particularly among novice drivers, and to get them thinking about ways to bring a stop to the number one killer of teens in America. Since its inception, this contest has been shared with over two million high school, trade school, college, and university students. Thecontest is sponsored and supported by the board members of Impact Teen Drivers. In 2013, the collaboration and cooperation of California and national teen safe driving coalitions allowed the contest to grow into its current format reaching novice drivers nationwide.
